Bernd Intveen

Bernd Intveen (born November 4, 1970 in Munich ) is a German musician .

Life

Bernd Intveen grew up in Munich and Unterhaching. He discovered his love for heavy metal at the age of 12 when he first heard Deep Purple and Iron Maiden . When he first came into contact with the guitar virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen , the fire was finally lit. After six years as an autodidact, he finally began to study guitar at the Munich Guitar Institute MGI, which he successfully completed.

After his first experiences in two bands, he joined the Munich wave rock band Beyond Pleasure in 1994, with whom he recorded his first CD The Cry. The local successes were very big and the band became an insider tip. After leaving, he was touring with the musical Little Shop of Horrors and in 1999 founded the gothic rock band Shadowland with opera singer Morgan Lorrai . The producer Carlos Peron became aware of this and took the duo under his wing. However, the debut Princess of the Night never made it through underground status, as Peron fell out with the musicians after the production. A second CD was produced in-house, but it was never released. Shadowland then disbanded.

In 2003 he joined the Van Langen medieval project . In changing formation he released three CDs with Van Langen - Zeychen der Zeit, Heilige Lieder and Zeytreise. During numerous concerts (including with Haggard and Cultus Ferox) across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, there were repeated personal problems, which eventually led to the breakup of the band. After a short excursion to the Munich hard rock band The Roxx - for which he recorded the CD Ironic Truth - he ended up at the Munich power metal institution StormHammer , with which he released two CDs on Massacre Records: "Echoes of a lost paradise "and" Welcome to the end ". After a European tour with Serious Black and Herman Frank, he left the band in summer 2018 due to musical differences.

He currently plays with the newly formatted Van Langen and the black metal band METAMORPHOSIS.
