Bernd Junker

Bernhard Junker (born November 9, 1953 in Offenburg ) is a German local politician. From 2007 to 2008 he was Lord Mayor of Schwetzingen .

Life

As a parliamentary group spokesman and founding member of the Schwetzingen Voters Forum '97 , Bernd Junker was elected Lord Mayor of Schwetzingen on December 3, 2006 with 50.32% of the vote and prevailed against the previous incumbent Bernd Kappenstein (CDU), who won 49.51% who received votes.

Junker resigned from the office of Lord Mayor in 2008 for health reasons. His successor was the non-party René Pöltl .
