Bernd Klötzer (* 1941 in Nuremberg ) is a German artist.

Life

After an apprenticeship in the graphic industry from 1957 to 1960, he studied from 1963 to 1964 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg . In 1967 he passed the teaching examination for art and craft education. In 1975 he received the Villa Romana Prize (Florence), in 1976 a work grant from the BDI and in 1981 a sponsorship award from the city of Nuremberg. He has worked sporadically with Peter Brötzmann since 1981, and has been a freelance artist since 1987. In 1989 he received the Philipp Morris work grant (Werkstatt Berlin) and in 1990 the Fürth Economy Art Prize. From 2001 to 2004 Klötzer had a teaching position at the Academy of Fine Arts in Nuremberg .

Bernd Klötzer is a member of the German Association of Artists . He lives and works in Nuremberg.
