Bernd Knobloch

Bernd Knobloch (born November 20, 1951 in Munich ) is a German manager and lawyer .

Knobloch is the son of Samuel and Charlotte Knobloch and has two sisters (Sonja and Iris). He completed his studies in 1977 at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and passed the second state examination in 1978 . After his time as managing partner of the Allgemeine Bauträgergesellschaft - Cederbaum und Partner, he was appointed to the board of directors of Frankfurter Hypothekenbank in 1992 and in 2004 as chairman of the board of the merged Eurohypo , where he was responsible for the expansion from a traditional credit institution to an international real estate and finance bank . Since 2006 he has also been a member of the Board of Management of Commerzbank . In September 2008 he resigned at his own request from both the Eurohypo board and the Commerzbank board. From November 17, 2008 to August 13, 2009 he was on the Supervisory Board of Hypo Real Estate . Knobloch is President of the Association of Friends and Supporters of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main and a member of the board of the Hertie Foundation . He has been a member of the DFB Ethics Commission since 2016 .
