Bernd Scherers
Bernd Scherers (born November 13, 1953 ) is a German organist and university professor.
Life
Scherers studied school music and church music at the Cologne Music Academy from 1972 to 1980 . He passed the first state examination for school music, the maturity examination for organ and the A-exam. He completed his training by studying musicology , philosophy and art history at the University of Cologne . In 1983 he received his doctorate . The topic of his dissertation was "Studies on the organ music of Franck's students ". From 1980 to 1985 he studied at the Conservatoire St. Maur in Paris with Gaston Litaize , where he won the class in 1981 and 1983. In 1985 he passed the concert exam . Master classes took him to Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini and Jean Langlais .
1975-1985 was Bernd Scherer as cantor and organist active in Cologne, from 1982 to 1994 as a teacher in Dusseldorf. In 1994 he was appointed professor for music didactics at the University of Flensburg .
