Bernhard Antener

Bernhard Antener (born December 17, 1958 ; resident in Eggiwil ) is a Swiss politician ( SP ).

Life

Antener attended the Burgdorf Secondary School from 1975 to 1979. From 1979 to 1987 he studied law at the University of Bern and received the advocacy patent in 1987 . From 1988 to 2001 he worked in the legal service of the postal, telephone and telegraph companies , or after their dissolution in the legal service of the Swiss Post . In 2002 he became a partner at the law firm Egger Tanner + Partner , now Antener Althaus Kunz .

From 1986 to 1992, Antener was a member of the large municipal council of Langnau im Emmental . In 1993 he was a member of the local council and was responsible for the school system. Since 1994 he has held the office of mayor . Furthermore, Antener was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern from 1998 . During this time he was a member of the finance commission from 1999 to 2011, was vice-president of this commission from 2002 and served as vice-president of the SP-JUSO- PSA parliamentary group from 2006 to 2011 . After he was Second Vice-President of the Grand Council from 2011 to 2012 and First Vice-President from 2012 to 2013, Antener became President of the Grand Council on June 3, 2013. He held this office until 2014. In the same year he resigned from the Grand Council of the Canton of Bern.

He is married and has two sons.
