Bernhard Dworak (born May 11, 1948 in Vienna ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ). From November 18, 2005 to November 2015, he was a member of the Vienna State Parliament and City Council .

Bernhard Dworak attended an AHS lower level after primary school and then switched to the HTL Mödling , specializing in mechanical engineering and automotive technology. After graduation in 1968 he attended the high school graduates in 1969 year College of Business Academy I of the funds of the Vienna Sales team , he studied business administration at the Vienna University of Economics and obtained with the completion of his studies in 1978 a master's degree in social and economic science.

Bernhard Dworak was a sales representative in the automotive parts trade and from 1983 to 1988 managing director of Ing. Kurz Dworzak KG. In 1984 Dworak and his family acquired the Ing. A Kutzendörfer GesmbH & Co KG and worked there until 1991 as managing director, from 1988 as sole managing director. In 1991 the company was transformed into Kutzendörfer & Dworak GmbH, whose sole owner is Dworak. The company operates technical trade and wholesaling of automotive parts.

Politics and functions

Dworak came into contact with the Junge ÖVP Hietzing during his training and held seminars as part of the Junge Wirtschaft in Hernstein . From 1972 to 1977 he was a member of the management committee of the Young ÖVP in the Chamber of Commerce. As a result, Bernhard Dworak was involved in district politics for a long time. Between 1978 and 2005 he was district councilor in Hietzing, from 1990 to 1991 club chairman and from 1998 to 2005 chairman of the Hietzing district council . Among other things, he was chairman of the Hietzingen building committee and the planning committee. In addition, Dworak has been district party chairman of ÖVP Hietzing since 2003. From 1980 he worked in the Chamber of Commerce in the field of automotive parts wholesale for the wishes of entrepreneurs and has been chairman of the committee since 1995. Furthermore, Dworak was an honorary judge at the Vienna Labor and Social Court for five years and is currently an honorary judge at the Vienna Higher Regional Court . Through this function he is associated with the professional title of commercial councilor . Dworak is also involved in professional training in wholesale and is involved in the fund of the Viennese merchants' association.
