Bernhard F. Schmidt

Bernhard F. Carl Schmidt (born May 19, 1904 in Stralsund ; † November 18, 1962, presumably in Berlin ) was a German film producer and line producer .

Live and act

After attending grammar school, Schmidt completed a commercial apprenticeship and then also worked in this profession. Finally, he made contact with the film industry and was appointed by National-Film as its head abroad. Schmidt then began to work as a production manager and became managing director of Euphono-Film Franz Vogels .

As deputy head of production at Tobis-Filmkunst, Schmidt received his own production group in 1942 with which he produced four films by the end of the war in 1945. After the war, Schmidt founded his own production company, Delos-Film, with which he primarily put together a series of fairy tale films in 1954/55. At the end of 1956, the company had to cease production.
