Bernhard Gansrigler

Bernhard Gansrigler (born August 17, 1913 in Girm , municipality of Deutschkreutz , † August 29, 1986 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer. Gansrigler was married and from 1953 to 1956 a member of the Burgenland Landtag .

Life

Gansrigler was the son of farmer Josef Gansrigler and attended elementary school in Deutschkreutz , whereupon he worked as a farmer. He served from 1939 in World War II, where he was taken prisoner by the French, from which he did not return until 1946. After his return, Gansrigler was district party leader of the ÖVP Oberpullendorf between 1949 and 1950 and was also district party leader of the farmers' union . Between 1951 and 1956 he was mayor of Deutschkreutz and represented the ÖVP in the Burgenland state parliament between March 19, 1953 and June 11, 1956. Gansrigler worked as an innkeeper from 1966. He was buried in Deutschkreutz.
