Bernhard Hecken

Bernhard Hecken (born November 27, 1889 in Oberkasbach , † 1958 ) was a German politician ( DNVP ).

Life

Hecken was born the son of a farmer. After graduating from high school, he first studied economics and then completed an apprenticeship with the city and rural community administration in Linz am Rhein . He then studied at the University for Local Administration in Düsseldorf and received practical training at the District Office in Malmedy . During the First World War he worked as an unskilled worker in the civil administration in Belgium .

In 1919, Hecken got a job as an unskilled worker with the municipal authorities in Pillkallen . In January 1920 he became the tax syndic of the Landbund of the Province of Saxony , based in Halle . In addition to his professional activity, he was an honorary member of the tax court in Magdeburg, an honorary member of the senior evaluation committee of the Reichslandbund and the business association for Central Germany as well as a board member of the operating and tax office of the German Agricultural Council .

During the time of the Weimar Republic , Hecken joined the German National People's Party (DNVP), for which he was elected in December 1924 and again in May 1928 as a member of the Prussian state parliament. After leaving the DNVP, he was a permanent guest of the German rural people within the German parliamentary group from August 9, 1930 until he left the state parliament in 1932 . In parliament he represented constituency 11 (Merseburg).
