Bernhard Joachim Scholz

Bernhard Joachim Scholz (* 1969 in Mainz ) is a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Social Court .

After completing his military service, Scholz studied law at the universities of Freiburg , Münster and Mainz . After the first state examination , he worked as a research assistant at the University of Mainz with Friedhelm Hufen until 1998 . With a dissertation on municipal and administrative procedural law , he was awarded a Dr. jur. PhD. He completed postgraduate studies at the German University of Administrative Sciences in Speyer in 1999 with a master's degree. publ. from.

After the second state examination, Scholz worked as a lawyer in Frankfurt am Main . From May 2000 he worked as a judge at the Mainz Social Court . From 2007 to 2009 he was seconded to the Federal Ministry of Justice , from 2011 to 2013 to the Federal Social Court . In June 2014, he was appointed judge at the State Social Court of Rhineland-Palatinate . Here he worked in a senate for legal disputes from the statutory accident insurance and basic security for job seekers .

In March 2017, Bernhard Joachim Scholz was appointed judge at the Federal Social Court. He has been assigned to the 1st Senate of the Federal Social Court, which is responsible for statutory health insurance .

Scholz is a member of the state examination office for lawyers in Rhineland-Palatinate. He has been a member of the Presidium of the German Association of Judges since 2010.
