Bernhard Langer (doctor)

Bernhard Langer (* 1901 ; † 1979 ) was a German doctor and prisoner in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp .

Langer studied medicine at the University of Wroclaw . From 1932 to 1936 he was a member of the SA and SA medical officer. In 1935 he married and had three children. In 1936 he was convicted of his homosexuality for the first time and was sent to Sachsenhausen concentration camp in 1943. After his admission, Langer became a prisoner doctor in the Heinkel-Werke Oranienburg satellite camp .

After the concentration camp was liberated , Langer worked as a family doctor in Miersdorf, a district of Zeuthen .

It was only after his wife's death in 1990 that Langer's daughter found his life testimonies and presented them to the Sachsenhausen Memorial . In an exhibition at the memorial from October 12, 2006 to September 30, 2007, information was provided about the fate of Bernhard Langer.
