Bernhard Rohrbacher (born September 15, 1965 in Merchweiler ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The youth player Rohrbacher, who came from SC Wemmetsweiler, was already in the squad of 1. FC Saarbrücken in the 1982/83 season , which was supervised by coach Uwe Klimaschefski . In the Oberliga he was not used, Saarbrücken rose to the 2nd Bundesliga . But even in the next few years he did not get a chance. Rohrbacher only made his professional debut in the 1985/86 season . Saarbrücken was playing in the Bundesliga at this time . On the 6th matchday he was substituted on for the second half against VfB Stuttgart and already substituted in the 77th minute of the game. He did not play another Bundesliga game, Saarbrücken was penultimate and relegated. In the following two years he played regularly and came to his first goals, during that time he scored ten goals in 56 games. Then he was still a supplementary player and was used occasionally. In the 1991/92 season he contributed to the promotion in the team of coach Peter Neururer . In 1994 he moved to SV Elversberg and in 1998 to Rot-Weiß Hasborn , where he played in the Saar Association and Oberliga Südwest. Hasborn became a coach for his last two years and looked after the team in parallel with his playing activities. From 2009 he looks after the A-youth of 1. FC Saarbrücken.
