Bernhard Schineller

Bernhard Schineller (born November 25, 1884 in Bischwind , † May 10, 1970 in Schweinfurt ) was a German politician.

Schineller attended elementary school and then made further training in administration. At a young age he worked in agriculture and forestry, as a factory worker and grinder, in military service and as an employee in the Christian labor movement. From 1913 on he worked as an official of the Christian Metalworkers' Association in Germany , later as executive chairman of the DGB for the north and east of Franconia. He was a soldier in the First World War and after the war city councilor in Schweinfurt. In 1924 he was appointed second mayor of Schweinfurt, which he held until his dismissal in 1933. From 1933 to 1945 he worked as a sales and insurance agent, but was arrested several times during this time. From 1945 to 1958 he was district administrator of the Schweinfurt district and from 1947 to 1958 a member of the Bavarian Senate .
