Bernhard August Schulte-Drüggelte (born February 5, 1951 in Möhnesee ) is a German politician ( CDU ). From 2002 to 2017 he was a member of the German Bundestag .

education and profession

After agricultural teachings Bernhard Schulte-Drüggelte graduated from 1970 a farming -Studies at the Comprehensive University of Paderborn - Department Soest , which he graduated in 1973 as engineer ended. He then studied at the Georg-August University of Göttingen and the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn , where he graduated in 1978 with a degree in agricultural engineering. Since then he has been working as an independent farmer and forester .

politics

Bernhard Schulte-Drüggelte joined the CDU in 1972 and was treasurer of the CDU district association Soest from 1989 to 1995 . From 1995 to 2015 he was district chairman of the CDU. Bernhard Schulte-Drüggelte was a member of the Soest District Council from 1979 to 1989 .

From 2002 to 2017 he was a member of the German Bundestag . Bernhard Schulte-Drüggelte was always drawn into the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the Soest constituency . In the 2002 Bundestag election it achieved 44.2%, in the 2005 Bundestag election 46.3%, in the 2009 Bundestag election 45.8% and in the 2013 Bundestag election 49.8% of the first votes in Soest . Most recently he was a member of the Council of Elders , the Budget Committee and at the same time chairman of the subcommittee on issues relating to the European Union (subcommittee of the budget committee). He was also a deputy member of the Food and Agriculture Committee . Bernhard Schulte-Drüggelte was a member of the German-Baltic Parliamentary Group and the German-Greek Parliamentary Group of the German Bundestag.
