Bernhard Widder

Bernhard Widder (born April 18, 1951 in Lörrach ) is a German doctor and engineer .

Life

Widder initially studied mechanical engineering and medical technology at the Universities of Karlsruhe and Stuttgart from 1969 to 1974 . After graduating, he moved to Ulm University , where he was awarded a Dr. rer. biol. hum. PhD. He then studied human medicine at the University of Ulm. After a license to practice medicine and a PhD med. In 1983 he completed further training as a specialist in neurology and psychiatry . After his habilitation in 1988 he was a senior physician at the Neurological University Clinic in Ulm. From 1996 he was Medical Director of the Clinic for Neurology and Neurological Rehabilitation of the Günzburg District Hospital, and since 2015 he has been in charge of the neuroscientific expert opinion office there.

2008 honorary member of the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM), 2016 Romberg-Glas of the German Society for Neurology (DGN), 2016 honorary member of the German Society for Neuroscientific Assessment (DGNB).

His scientific and clinical focus is on ultrasound diagnostics of the arteries supplying the brain, stroke and pain therapy as well as neurological-psychiatric assessment .
