Bernhard Wietek
Bernhard Wietek (born May 24, 1946 in Kufstein ) is an Austrian civil engineer specializing in geotechnical engineering . He also works as a civil engineer for civil engineering . From 1981 to 2003 he was professor of construction at the HTL Innsbruck . As an expert in the field of civil engineering and geotechnical engineering, in particular the areas of corrosion of steel in concrete and of fiber concrete with steel or plastic fibers, he has written numerous specialist books and articles.
Life
Bernhard Wietek obtained his Matura at the higher technical college in Innsbruck in 1966 . From 1967 he studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Munich . After completing his intermediate diploma in 1970, he continued his studies at the Technical University of Karlsruhe . There he passed the exam as a graduate engineer in 1973 and was then assistant at the Institute for Soil Mechanics until 1976 . After international work in an engineering association, he started his own business in 1979 as a civil engineer for civil engineering. In 1981 he was appointed as a court-sworn expert for civil engineering. From 1981 to 2003 he was professor of construction at the HTL Innsbruck. In addition, from 1982 to 2007 he worked as a trainer at the Economic Development Institute of the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce (WIFI) in the field of master builders' courses. With his engineering office he continues to run numerous projects, including in the field of excavation, slope and rock protection. Several of his inventions have been patented .
Ideas and inventions
As a freelance civil engineer, the following ideas arose, some of which developed further up to the patent:
- Wedge foundation , the structural loads are also transferred into the subsoil via the side surfaces.
- Drainage pile and wall , this component not only takes on static but also hydraulic functions
- Berggarage Seefeld , under the monastery hill , it would be possible to build a spacious garage that would enable the sports area and several hotels to provide parking spaces for cars and buses
- Cathodic corrosion protection on bridges , this maintenance measure has been successfully implemented on a total of 12 motorway bridges in Austria
- Electrode for corrosion measurement in reinforced concrete construction , so that the condition of the reinforcement with regard to corrosion can be checked non-destructively at any time
- Drainage anchor, co-development of the drainage anchor from Ischebeck
- Suspension railway for crossing the Alps , as a replacement for the strain caused by the increasing traffic through the existing valleys in the Alps
- Alpenkristall , a mountain station in the form of a crystal with viewing platforms
- Innsbruck mountain station, relocation of Innsbruck station into the mountain near the Brenner base tunnel
- Fiber concrete , development of a calculation model for fiber concrete
- BergIsel Stadium , vision of an extended stadium, with which the use can be generously expanded without burdening the neighborhood.
