The Bernhartshöhe is 549.3 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the extreme southwest of the Baden-Württemberg state capital Stuttgart . It is located in the Stuttgart-Vaihingen district , right next to the Stuttgart motorway junction . The Bernhartshöhe is the highest point in the urban area of Stuttgart. However, it is not a natural mountain, but was piled up in the 1970s with material from tunnel construction for Stuttgart's rail traffic. In the case of the S-Bahn, this was the connecting line with its "main line" and the Hasenberg tunnel, as well as lines of the light rail and other construction measures.
