Bernard John Marsden (born May 7, 1951 in Buckingham , Buckinghamshire ) is an English guitarist .

Marsden's style is based on blues musicians like Peter Green and Eric Clapton . In the early 1970s, Marsden was a member a. a. at Juicy Lucy , UFO and Babe Ruth .

In 1976, Bernie Marsden responded to a newspaper ad and played for Paice Ashton Lord . From 1978 to 1983 Marsden was a member of Whitesnake .

In 1984 Marsden formed the short-lived band Alaska .

In the 1990s he reappeared as the Moody Marsden Band with former Whitesnake colleague Mick Moody . The group also played the old hits; a concept that was continued with the establishment of Company of Snakes in 2000 (in the meantime the third ex- Whitesnake musician, Neil Murray , was there).

During these years Marsden occasionally recorded his own and tribute pieces, and occasionally worked on soundtracks.

He was also involved in a three-part television series, The Delta Blues 1926 - Urban Blues 1960 , in a variety of roles.
