Berthold C. Haferland

Berthold C. Haferland (born May 31, 1934 ; † August 4, 2011 ) was a German Rechtspfleger and home administrator .

From 1970 he was a member of the board of directors of the Association of Rechtspfleger, of which he was deputy chairman until 1983. In 1993 he was made an honorary member of this association because of his services.

In Hildesheim , Berthold C. Haferland was one of the founders of the legal administration training. The Lower Saxony University of Applied Sciences for Administration and Justice was founded in 1979 with his participation, in which he worked as a lecturer from then on. This resulted in the North German University of Justice .

After German reunification, he was appointed to the development staff for the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration and Justice, which was established in the newly formed state of Saxony-Anhalt . With his active participation, this school was established in Benneckenstein in the Harz region , and he headed its legal department as a government director until his retirement.

The Ruthe football club holds a Berthold C. Haferland Cup every year.
