The North German College of Justice (HR Nord) is a state university of applied sciences in the state of Lower Saxony with its headquarters in Hildesheim . It trains judicial officers for the states of Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg and Bremen, civil servants of the higher judicial service , who perform the tasks assigned by the Rechtspflegergesetz (RPflG).

history

The predecessor was the Lower Saxony University of Applied Sciences for Administration and Justice (FHVR), also based in Hildesheim, which existed from August 1979 to September 30, 2007. Its Faculty of Justice was converted into the North German University of Applied Sciences for Justice on September 30, 2007, which has been referred to as the North German University of Justice since an amendment to the Lower Saxony University Act in June 2010 (Section 2, Paragraph 1 No. 2e), although it continues to do so a university of applied sciences remains.
