Government Director ( RD ) is in Germany , the official title of an official in the senior civil service in the federal or state government in the second grade post .
Salary
The position is paid with the salary group A 15 according to the federal salary order of the Federal Salary Act and thus corresponds to salary law of a lieutenant colonel or a frigate captain of the Bundeswehr .
education
Members of the higher non-technical administrative service have often completed a law degree at a university with the first legal examination and successfully completed a subsequent preparatory service ( legal traineeship ) with the second state legal examination and thus have the qualification for judicial office or have another university degree that qualifies for this career completed with a master’s degree and completed a corresponding subject-specific preparatory service (legal clerkship).

Government directors usually work as heads of units in large authorities and act as superiors of all employees in a unit . In smaller departments, however, you can also hold the position of deputy head of department or department head.
