Berthold Frank Hoselitz

Berthold Frank Hoselitz (born May 27, 1913 in Vienna , Austria-Hungary ; died February 14, 1995 in Chicago ) was an American economist and social scientist of Austrian origin.

Scientific career

Hoselitz received his doctorate in Vienna in 1936 , emigrated to the USA in 1938 after the annexation of Austria and became a professor at the University of Chicago .

In 1952 he founded the scientific journal Economic Development and Cultural Change .
