Bertil Tallberg, who was a member of the Nyländska Jaktklubben , took part in the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm in the 8-meter class as the skipper of the Lucky Girl . At the regatta taking place in Nynäshamn , the Finnish boat and the Swedish Sans Atout achieved second place in a total of two races, so that there was a tie-off between these two boats, in which the Sans Atout prevailed. Tallberg thus received the bronze medal alongside crew members Arthur Ahnger , Emil Lindh , Georg Westling and his brother Gunnar Tallberg .

In addition to Gunnar Tallberg, numerous other Tallberg family members were also active in Olympic sailing regattas. His grandchildren Henrik , Johan and Peter Tallberg also sailed at the Olympics as did his great-grandson Mathias Tallberg , the son of Peter Tallberg.
