The Pfäffikon Vocational Training Center (BBZP) is a vocational school in Pfäffikon SZ . It was created in 2006 from the merger of the Pfäffikon Agricultural School and the Pfäffikon commercial and industrial vocational school. The school has around 1100 students, who are taught by around 80 teachers. It is the only vocational school in the Ausserschwyz and Einsiedeln region . In addition to the basic training of the apprentices (e.g. maintenance specialists, polymechanics, design engineers, health specialists, logisticians, restoration specialists), learners of the bridging offers are also taught. In addition, the BBZP has a full-time vocational diploma in two disciplines and is involved in (farm-housekeeping) training and further education.
Location
The BBZ Pfäffikon has two locations, one on Schützenstrasse and one in Römerrain.
The Schützenstrasse location is close to the Alpamare and the Seedamm-Center . The next ZVV stop is the Kantons- und Berufsschule station , on bus line 195. The BBZ has a separate cafeteria , which is housed in the Pfäffikon Cantonal School building. The cantonal gymnasium is shared by the vocational school with the cantonal school.
The Römerrain location is near the Catholic Church. It's about ten minutes from the train station.
history
The Pfäffikon vocational training center emerged from a merger of the Pfäffikon vocational school and the Pfäffikon agricultural school , which merged with one another on July 31, 2006.
The agricultural school was founded in 1922/25 with a contract between the canton of Schwyz and the Einsiedeln monastery and was run and financed by the monastery. This makes it the oldest vocational school in the canton of Schwyz and was installed before the federal law (1931) became a compulsory vocational school. The school was run as a boarding school with mandatory home attendance in winter.
The Pfäffikon vocational school was established in 1963 by a cantonal resolution.
Schützenstrasse school building
After the Cantonal Council proposed the application for a vocational school in 1963, four years later, on June 4, 1967, the electorate accepted the loan of 4.6 million. On August 1, 1969, the first part of the school building was completed. The second part followed in 1987.
Schoolhouse Römerrain / Schlossmühle Pfäffikon (parish hall)
On November 4, 1925, the canton's first agricultural school was opened in what is now the village hall in Pfäffikon SZ. Fourteen years later, the Römerrain schoolhouse was built. In 1986 a new building was added to the school building. In 1991, Einsiedeln Abbey handed over the management of the school in the canton. The canton bought the 18.2 million property on September 27, 1992.
Vocational training center Pfäffikon
In autumn 2004, the government council of Canton Schwyz commissioned a working group to examine a merger of all vocational schools at the Pfäffikon location. The concept of the new vocational training center in Pfäffikon was approved as early as January 2005, and the BBZ Pfäffikon began operations in the 2006/2007 school year. The vocational training center emerged from the merger of the commercial-industrial vocational school Pfäffikon and the agricultural school Pfäffikon.
