The Betechtin Mountains ( Russian Хребет Бетехтина , Norwegian Betechtinkjeda , English Betekhtin Range ) is a 23 km long mountain range in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It forms the southern arm of the Alexander von Humboldt Mountains in the Wohlthatmassiv .

It was discovered and mapped during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . New mappings were made based on surveys and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960) and the Soviet Antarctic expedition, which lasted from 1960 to 1961. It is named after the Soviet mineralogist Anatoly Georgiewitsch Betechtin (1897–1962).
