The Taborovskiy Peak ( Russian Гора Таборовского Gora Taborowskowo ; Norwegian Taborovskijtoppen ) is a 2895 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Wohlthatmassiv it is the highest peak of the Skarshaugane in the Betechtin Mountains of the Alexander von Humboldt Mountains .
The mountain was discovered and mapped using aerial photographs during the German Antarctic Expedition (1938–1939) under the direction of Alfred Ritscher . Further mapping was carried out using aerial photographs and measurements taken by the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960). Soviet scientists re-mapped and named between 1960 and 1961. It is named after the Soviet meteorologist N. L. Taborowski. In 1970, the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names adapted the Russian name to English.
