Beth Reekles
Beth Reekles (born June 7, 1995 in Newport , Great Britain ) is a British author. She published five books by 2019, including the novel The Kissing Booth in 2013 , which was made into a film in 2018 .
She wrote The Kissing Booth at the age of 17 and gradually published it on the online platform Wattpad , on which it was read more than 19 million times. At 17, she was signed to Random House UK publishing company while she was writing her final exams.
Other novels include Rolling Dice , Cwtch Me If You Can , Out of Tune and The Kissing Booth Novella The Beach House . Currently (2019) she is working on a sequel to The Kissing Booth , which will be filmed at the same time and will appear on Netflix in 2020 .
Beth Reekles graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in physics and works in the IT industry.
In 2013 she was named one of the 16 Most Influential Teens by Time magazine and in August 2014 she was named 6th in the "Top 20 under 25" by The Times .
