Better Than Love (German: "Better than love") is a song by the British synth-pop duo Hurts from their debut album Happiness . It was released in the UK as their debut song on May 10, 2010, which peaked at # 50 on the UK Singles Chart. The song was also in the Belgian and Dutch charts.
The song was re-released as a double A-side with the single Illuminated on May 9, 2011 in the United Kingdom. In Germany, the single was re-released on July 15, 2011 without Illuminated .
Music video
The music video was uploaded to the official Hurts YouTube account on April 28, 2010 , with a trailer uploaded the day before. That was her first professional music video. Theo Hutchcraft and Adam Anderson stand in a hall for an audition, surrounded by women who look similar to them in terms of clothing. As Anderson plays the piano, Hutchcraft watches the audition in the hall mirror. The video was shot in the Buftea studio in Bucharest , Romania with Romanian actress Laura Cosoi and other Romanian actresses. Cosoi also starred in her later video Sunday .
