reception

The STAR Magazine gave the song 5 of 5 stars and said:

“We're not really sure how such dark music can still be so great. But the nature of the synth duo, their handling of a simple melody , romantic lyrics and Theo Hutchcraft's heartfelt vocals make this electropop ballad a wonderful elegy about a lost love . Overwhelming!"

Music video

The music video was directed by Dave Ma, it was shot in Iceland and shows Theo Hutchcraft, the singer of the band Hurts, with his girlfriend. They walk on the shore of a lake and go together through a narrow path into a misty landscape . During the video, scenes of the duo are repeatedly shown singing the song near the shore, along with a group of dancers who dance and provide the background vocals . Director Ma describes the day the video was shot: “It was cloudy and suddenly this fog appeared, which created an amazing foggy landscape for the video. It was also very cold and everyone tried to make the best of it under these cold conditions and the result was a wonderful music video that also goes perfectly with the song. ”In the German version of the music video, excerpts from the film Kokowääh were inserted.
