Bettikum

Bettikum is a small village that belongs to the city of Neuss in the Rhine district of Neuss .

Bettikum borders the village of Schlicherum in the east , Hoisten in the south-west and Norf in the north .

history

Bettikum was part of the Electoral Cologne Office of Hülchrath until 1794 . In 1794 French troops occupied the place. Bettikum now came to the newly founded Mairie Norf. In 1815 the communal political situation changed again. Bettikum came to the municipality and mayor's office Norf in the district of Neuss , and with this to the Prussian province of Jülich-Kleve-Berg , which became part of the Rhine province in 1822. In 1927 the mayor's office in Norf was renamed to Amt Norf . Bettikum has been part of the Norf district in the city of Neuss in the Rhine district of Neuss since January 1, 1975.

Landstrasse 142 runs through Bettikum. In a northerly direction this road reaches Norf and continues via Erfttal to Bundesstrasse 9. In a southerly direction, however, the L 142 meets the K 30, which also comes from Schlicherum and Elvekum from Bundesstrasse 9 and runs along it then past Hoisten until it meets federal highway 477 south of Speck .
