Beuren is a district of the market in Pfaffenhofen an der Roth in the Neu-Ulm district in the west of the Bavarian administrative district of Swabia . The place is on the western slope of the Bibertal and has about 620 inhabitants.
history
Beuren had belonged to Upper Austria since 1307 . Since the 15th century it was owned by various lords and the Buxheim monastery .
School lessons were held in Beuren from 1754, but a schoolhouse was not built until 1835. In 1996 the place received a new school building with three classrooms. The school has been part of the Pfaffenhofen-Beuren School Association since 1971.
On May 1, 1978, Beuren was incorporated into the Pfaffenhofen store.
Attractions
- In 1711 the Beuren official palace was built by the Buxheim officials and sold in 1881 together with the remaining manorial property. The castle has been privately owned since then.
- The parish church is consecrated to St. Ulrich, St. Cosmas and Damian . Its core dates back to the 15th century. Originally it was a branch church of Pfaffenhofen, from 1787 an independent pastoral care center and from 1922 its own parish .

coat of arms
The red shield with the golden sloping bar is the coat of arms of the Krafft family from Ulm, the oldest known local rule of Beuren. The staff of Aesculapius indicates Cosmas and Damian. These are the patron saints of doctors and healers and the church saints of Beuren.
