Beverly Elaine Aadland , also Beverly E. Fisher (born September 16, 1942 in Hollywood , Los Angeles , California , † January 5, 2010 in Lancaster , California) was an American actress .

Life

Beverly Aadland was the daughter of Herbert Aadland and his wife Florence (1914-1965); she grew up in Hollywood and, through the mediation of her ambitious mother, played small supporting roles in several films. In 1957, on the set of Marjorie Morningstar's Love , she met actor Errol Flynn . She became his lover and played by his side in his last film Cuban Rebel Girls . After Flynn's death, the relationship became public in the press and a scandal because of Aadland's minority. Without her consent, her mother Florence published the book The Big Love in 1961 , which was about her relationship with Flynn. The book was adapted for a play performed with Tracey Ullman . Aadland herself first commented on the relationship in 1996, stating that she has not regretted her relationship with Flynn. In the film adaptation of My Life with Robin Hood , she was played by Dakota Fanning .

After Flynn's death, Aadland worked as a singer, dancer and waitress. She found herself in the gossip ranks again in 1960 when her 20-year-old friend William Stanciu was shot dead in a relationship argument. Stanciu had apparently attacked them with a gun and one shot had been fired during the fight. After Stancius' death, Florence Aadland was deprived of custody of her daughter. After two failed marriages, Beverly Aadland married Ronald Fisher in 1969, with whom she remained married until her death and had a daughter (* 1980). She died as Beverly E. Fisher in January 2010 in Lancaster, California of heart failure and diabetes.
