Ampezzo district

The district of Ampezzo ( German : District Hayden ) was a political district in the Fürsteten Grafschaft Tirol . The district comprised parts of the Valle del Boite , the Fodom (Buchenstein Valley) and the high valley of Colle Santa Lucia . The seat of the district administration was the municipality of Ampezzo (German: Hayden ). The area was added to Italy after the First World War .

The modern, political districts of the Habsburg Monarchy were created in 1868 when the political and judicial administration was separated.

The Ampezzo district was formed in 1868 from the Ampezzo and Buchenstein judicial districts .

In 1869, 5,963 people lived in the Ampezzo district, with 700 houses in the district.

The Ampezzo district covered an area of ​​369.76 km² in 1910 and was home to a population of 6,674 people. Of the inhabitants, 5,990 had given Italian or Ladin , 443 German and 241 another language as their colloquial language or were foreigners. The district consisted of two judicial districts with three parishes.

Due to the border regulations of the Treaty of Saint-Germain concluded on September 10, 1919 , the district of Ampezzo was completely slammed into Italy.
