The Baden District Office (also referred to as the Baden-Baden District Office in recent literature ; the eponymous city of Baden-Baden was only called "Baden" until 1931) had been an office in the Grand Duchy of Baden since around 1810 . It extended over what is now the city of Baden-Baden and the surrounding towns and was dissolved in 1924 as part of a new administrative structure.

history

The district office Baden went from an older office or Oberamt forth. It initially belonged to the Murg district , which was dissolved in 1819. Now the district office belonged to the Murg and Pfinz districts .

With the ordinance of January 18, 1924, 13 districts were abolished in the Republic of Baden , including the Baden District Office. Sinzheim came to the Bühl district office , the city of Baden-Baden and the remaining communities of the Baden district office to the Rastatt district office , which was renamed the Rastatt district on January 1, 1939 . On June 24, 1939, the city of Baden-Baden was spun off as an independent urban district.
