Konrad Kuntz

Konrad Karl Kuntz (born August 19, 1804 in Mannheim , † February 22, 1881 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German administrative officer and parliamentarian.

Life

Konrad Kuntz, son of the court painter Carl Kuntz , studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1825 he became a member of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg . In 1829 he became a legal trainee and in 1831 chancellery at the State Ministry in Karlsruhe . In 1834 he moved as an assessor to the Oberamt Bruchsal , where he was promoted to magistrate in 1836 . In 1837 he was appointed head of the Eberbach district office . In 1841 he came to Rastatt as a member of the government of the Middle Rhine District . In 1849 he was appointed senior bailiff and board member of the Baden-Baden district office . In 1851 he became city director of Baden-Baden . In 1862 he was put into temporary retirement for health reasons. From 1868 to 1874 he was a collegiate member of the Chamber of Accounts.

In 1849, Kuntz was chairman of the Baden bathhouse commission. From 1863 to 1868 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly for three electoral terms as a liberal member of parliament for constituency 7 (Baden-Baden) .

The painters Rudolf and Ludwig Kuntz were his older brothers, the Prussian Lieutenant General Gustav Kuntz (1807-1886) a younger brother.
