Bian Jingzhao ( Chinese  邊 景 昭  /  边 景 昭 , Pinyin Biān Jǐngzhāo , W.-G. Pien Ching-chao ) , : Wenjin ( 文 進  /  文 进 , Wénjìn , Wen-chin ), was a Chinese painter of the Yongle - and Xuande - Ming Dynasty Epochs . Date of birth and death are unknown. He became court painter under Yongle. He was born in Yanping Fu 延平 府, Sha 沙县 County (now Sha County, Fujian Province ) in Fujian Province , his ancestors come from Longxi ( Gansu ). His specialty was painting flowers and birds . His pictures of flowers and birds are known for their fine brushwork. His representative works include the pictures Three Friends and a Hundred Birds and Hundreds of Joy . He enjoyed the same fame as the painters Lü Ji 吕 纪 and Lin Liang 林良.
