Bibliotheca Hagiographica Orientalis

The Bibliotheca Hagiographica Orientalis is a catalog of Arabic , Coptic , Syrian , Armenian and ancient Ethiopian hagiographic writings, such as literary works on the lives of saints , the translation of their relics and their miracles , arranged in alphabetical order of the saints. The work is usually abbreviated as BHO . The lists include manuscripts , incipits and printed works. The Bibliotheca Hagiographica Orientalis , together with the Bibliotheca Hagiographica Latina and the Bibliotheca Hagiographica Graeca, is one of the most important tools for scientific work on saints.
