The Terlan Library is an educational and leisure facility of the South Tyrolean municipality of Terlan . It is a full-time library and is combined with the middle school. The Terlan library includes the lending points in Vilpian and Siebeneich , which are run on a voluntary basis.

history

The library was established in 1950. It was housed in Widum until 1990 and was run as a parish library. In 1984 the library law changed the parish library into the Terlan public library. In autumn 1990 the municipality of Terlan took over the sponsorship and the library moved to the middle school building. Today (as of 2020) the library is located in a new building built in 2017 on Hauptstrasse 7.
