The local coat of arms of Wiesbaden-Bierstadt with the representation of the waiting tower

The watch tower is a landmark of Bierstadt. Representations of the tower have already been used in historical court seals, and a stylized representation of the Warttower in silver on a red background forms the local coat of arms even today.

On October 18, 1814, court attorney Wilhelm Snell gave a speech about freedom and equality by torchlight.

The Bismarck Tower , a 50 m high wooden observation tower, which was popularly known as the "Wiesbaden Eiffel Tower", stood near the Wartturm from 1910 to 1918 .
