Big Bounce - The Trampoline Show is a game show produced by EndemolShine Germany and broadcast by RTL since 2018 , in which candidates have to overcome various courses made up of trampolines . It is based on the originally Dutch concept The Big Bounce , which was developed by the TV company Endemol . Although no separate edition has yet been produced in the country of origin, the German and French versions are recorded in Breda , the Netherlands . The program was moderated by Matthias Opdenhövel and Wolff-Christoph Fuss .

At the beginning of March 2018, RTL extended the TV show for a second season. In 2019 it was announced that the show would be paused indefinitely for the next year.

The first season was won by 19-year-old Tyrolean Lorenz Wetscher, the second by 22-year-old Thomas Scholl from Bremerhaven . The former tower and synchronized jumper Sascha Klein won the first celebrity special at the end of the second season.

concept

In the show, candidates have to overcome three obstacle courses . The qualification shows begin with a first duel course in which two candidates compete against each other in order to halve the number of candidates. The winner of the respective duel moves on to a second qualifying round, in which a so-called tactical course has to be mastered first, followed by the so-called high-altitude course . In the end, the eight (2018) or seven (2019) candidates who were able to master these two courses the fastest and move into a final round.

In the final round, the best 40 or 42 in a new individual course make up the best 16 among themselves, whereupon they compete against each other in the so-called bounce off , whereby it is important to reach a buzzer as quickly as possible in several rounds in a course designed for one another and so on to halve the number of candidates in the duels or to quarter them after a second round. The semi-finals will also be played against each other on the same course.

The two best jumpers carry out a final duel in the final competition, the eponymous Big Bounce .
