Harry Schmidt (born June 15, 1960 ) is a German actor and musician . His stage name is Big Harry .

Life

Schmidt worked as a car mechanic . In 2000 he was a participant in the second season of the television show Big Brother , in which he came in second behind Alida Kurras . In April 2001 he released the music album Harrys Welt and the single Mir Can None! ( The Wanderer ), which reached number 44 in the music charts .

Since 2002 he has had a recurring role as Kiez pub owner Big Harry in the series Großstadtrevier .

In October 2017 he opened “Big Harrys Kult-Kneipe” in Eckernförde. Since May 1, 2019, this has been continued as "pea" by his partner with the stage name "Asterx".

Schmidt lives with his wife Gerti in Schleswig-Holstein . They have six children together.
