Big Iceland ( Inuktitut : Qikiqtarjuaq ) is an uninhabited island in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of the Canadian territory of Nunavut . It is located off the south coast of Baffin Island in the Hudson Strait . The partially only 3 km wide White Strait separates the two islands from each other. The next place is Kimmirut, about 30 km northeast on Baffin Island . The land area is 803 km².

Other islands in the immediate vicinity are Emma Island and Rabbit Island , High Bluff Island and the Upper Savage Islands .

There are two other, much smaller islands in the Qikiqtaaluk region of Nunavut, also called the Big Island.
