Big Valley (California)

Big Valley is a valley in Northern California . The Big Valley is about 20 miles long from north to south and 15 miles wide from east to west. The area is mainly used for cattle breeding and includes only four small towns, Nubieber , Bieber , Lookout and Adin . In 2007, a total of around 1,600 people lived in the Big Valley. The valley is characterized by volcanism , even if the nearby volcanoes Mount Shasta and Lassen Peak do not border the valley. There are hot springs in the valley. Big Valley is traversed by the Pit River and Ash Creek irrigates a wetland in the center. The surrounding small mountains are federal parks. The Big Valley is the border between Lassen County and Modoc County .
