Wayside shrine, west of Kirchhaslach, 18th century

The wayside shrine in Kirchhaslach , in the Unterallgäu district , Bavaria , is located west of the village on the road to Babenhausen . Originally, this wayside shrine was the last station in a series of fifteen rosary chapels, which have since been abandoned. These chapels lined the pilgrimage route from Babenhausen to Kirchhaslach. The listed wayside shrine was built in the 18th century.

The small building consists of a transverse rectangular housing and has a gable roof covered. To the east, towards Kirchhaslach, an arched arcade opens up , flanked by narrow pilasters on plinths. In the back wall there is a painting depicting Our Lady above the village of Kirchhaslach. It shows the pilgrimage church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and the Way of the Cross with the St. Anne's Chapel. It bears the inscription Holy Mother of God protect us. Underneath is a wooden plaque with the inscription Restored by the Unterallgäu district with the help of the Babenhausen local authority .
