The Education Directorate is an Austrian authority that has been organizing the entire school administration of a federal state since January 1, 2019 . It is a joint authority of the federal government and the respective country sui generis . The constitutional basis was created by a new fifth main section of the federal constitution . The name of the authority is "Education Directorate for ..." with the addition of the name of the federal state.
