The VR-Bank Fläming eG based in Luckenwalde in the country Brandenburg is a cooperative bank . It is a member of the Federal Association of German Volksbanks and Raiffeisenbanks eV (BVR), the Genossenschaftsverband eV and the Genossenschaftliche FinanzGruppe. As a registered cooperative , it is subject to the Cooperative Law and its articles of association. Owners are the members of the cooperative who are also customers of the bank with an ongoing business relationship. The business area extends directly south and south-west of the capital Berlin in the districts of Teltow-Fläming and Potsdam-Mittelmark including the city of Potsdam .
history
VR-Bank Fläming eG emerged in 2001 from the merger of Volksbank Teltow-Fläming eG and Raiffeisenbank Mittelmark eG. The roots go back to several savings and loan funds or savings associations of the 19th century. In 1875 the "Advance Bank to Trebbin eGmuH" was founded. There is still an office of the bank in Trebbin today.
Business philosophy
The bank is a regional universal bank for private and business customers. The need for financial products is covered by cooperation within the cooperative financial group.

The executive board, which is monitored by the supervisory board, manages the operative business. Social Commitment
VR-Bank Fläming eG is committed to social and cultural issues in its business area. It conducts various competitions such as "jugend creativ" and the "VR-Bank Fläming CUP" and supports clubs with monetary and material donations. Twice a year, the bank offers regional professional artists the opportunity to present their works in the Schulze-Delitzsch-Haus in Luckenwalde. Under the motto "VRmobil - We get Northern Germany moving", the credit institute has been supporting the activities of non-profit associations and institutions since 2007 by providing financial support for the acquisition of vehicles for their daily work.
