Educational organization of the Archdiocese of Cologne
The educational center of the Archdiocese of Cologne e. V. is responsible for further training and media facilities in the area of the Archdiocese of Cologne .
Club structure
The association has the task of organizing adult education , family education and media work events including broadcasting. It was founded on October 17, 1975. Members can become natural and legal persons as well as unincorporated institutions that perform adult education, family education in the sense of child and youth welfare and media work in the Archdiocese of Cologne . Members are currently the Diocesan Council of Catholics in the Archdiocese of Cologne, the Catholic Rural People's Movement in the Archdiocese of Cologne, the Catholic Women's Community Diocesan Association of Cologne, the Community of Catholic Working Women in the Archdiocese of Cologne, the Catholic Men's Work in the Archdiocese of Cologne and the Diocesan Caritas Association for the Archdiocese of Cologne e. V. Born members are the heads of the pastoral care department and the education and dialogue department of the Archbishop's General Vicariate in Cologne. The seat of the association is Cologne, chairman is Petra Dierkes.

The Bildungswerk der Erzdiözese Köln eV reaches 170,000 participants annually through its 9 Catholic family education centers and 11 Catholic educational institutions with 12,000 courses. Over 3000 freelance speakers work for the facilities every year. This makes it one of the largest training providers in North Rhine-Westphalia. The educational offers cover a wide range of socio-politically relevant topics such as questions of faith, values and meaning, birth and upbringing, household, media, culture and job-related qualifications. The Bildungswerk der Erzdiözese Köln eV is a recognized further education institution according to WbG and AWbG. Its quality management is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 .
