Heinz-Josef Nüchel

Heinz-Josef Nüchel (born November 13, 1932 in Eitorf - Huckenbröl ; † November 17, 2015 ) was a German politician ( CDU ). From May 28, 1975 to May 29, 1985 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

Heinz-Josef Nüchel attended the humanistic grammar school after elementary school and worked as a tax officer from 1953 to 1959 .

Political commitment

In 1957 Heinz-Josef Nüchel became a member of the CDU, in 1961 he became a member of the Eitorf municipal council. 1961 to 1979 he belonged to the district council of the Rhein-Sieg district . In 1966 he became a district board member of the CDU Rhein-Sieg-Kreis, in 1976 deputy chairman and from 1969 to 1974 chairman. Also in 1969 Heinz-Josef Nüchel became honorary mayor of the municipality of Eitorf and remained so until 1984. From 1970 to 1975 he was parliamentary group chairman of the CDU district assembly in the Rhein-Sieg district. From 1989 to 1999 Heinz-Josef Nüchel belonged again to the district assembly of the Rhein-Sieg district, at the same time he was chairman of the CDU parliamentary group.

Member of the state parliament

Heinz-Josef Nüchel was elected as a direct candidate in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia in two state elections, in the 8th electoral term in constituency 025 (Rhein-Sieg-Kreis III) and in the 9th electoral term in constituency 027 (Rhein-Sieg-Kreis I ).

Church engagement

From 1960 to 1964 Heinz-Josef Nüchel was a diocesan youth leader in the Archdiocese of Cologne . Then he became federal leader of the Catholic Young Men’s Community (KJG) and deputy federal leader of the Federation of German Catholic Youth (BdkJ) until 1967. After that he was a consultant in the male pastoral care of the Archdiocese. From 1968 to 1973 Nüchel was President of the World Association of Catholic Parish Youth Communities, from 1975 to 1993 chairman of the Education Center of the Archdiocese of Cologne eV He was a member of the Central Committee of German Catholics (ZdK) .

In 1997 in Jerusalem he was the first German to be elected President of the International Union of Catholic Men Unum Omnes , an association of around 30 million members worldwide.

Others

From 1964 to 1966 Heinz-Josef Nüchel was deputy chairman, from 1966 to 1967 chairman of the German Federal Youth Association . 1966 to 1969 he was a member of the Federal Youth Board of Trustees. From 1967 to 1974 Nüchel was director of the International Youth Exchange and Visitor Service of the Federal Republic of Germany.

In 1976 Heinz-Josef Nüchel, as mayor of the municipality of Eitorf, founded the order “Gloria Eitorf - Humoris Causa” (The honor be Eitorf - because of his humor). This medal is awarded to merited Eitorfer carnivalists to this day. With the Order Foundation, according to the statute, the generous promotion of local customs as a source of joie de vivre should be awarded to Eitorfer, who demonstrate an impeccable way of life and have rendered outstanding services to the Eitorfer Carnival.

In 1991 and 1992 Heinz-Josef Nüchel was with Resi in the Eitorfer Carnival.
