Biljača ( Serbian - Cyrillic Биљача , Albanian  Bilaç / Bilaçi ) is a village in the municipality of Bujanovac , Serbia .

Biljača is located in a river valley near Preševo on the Serbian A1 motorway ( E-75 ) and has fertile arable land that is used for agriculture.

Demographics

According to the 2002 census, Biljača had 2928 permanent residents and 2036 temporary residents. In 2002, 83.69% of the residents were of Albanian descent. The rest consisted of Serbs, Turks and Roma.

In September 2011, the Albanian Assembly of MPs from Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa called on the Albanians in Serbia not to take part in the Serbian census in December of the same year, so no census results for 2011 were transmitted.
